The Growth Hub · Business support
A public service that businesses couldn’t find or trust
The Growth Hub helps businesses across Shropshire grow, from first-time founders to established firms. The support was real. Finding it, and working out what it was for, was not.
The problem
A business support service was struggling to reach the businesses that needed it most. The service existed. The audience could not find it or understand why it was for them.
See
The problem was discoverability and trust, not the service itself. The name, identity and digital experience were built around the partnership’s internal logic, not the business owner’s reality.
- Audience research
- Journey mapping
- Partner interviews
Shift
Every version of the offer led with what the Growth Hub is and how it is funded. We turned it around to lead with where a business already is and what it needs next, so people could recognise themselves before they had to understand the structure behind it.
- Naming
- Brand strategy
- Proposition
Build
A new name, proposition and digital experience designed from the business owner’s point of view: clear, approachable and easy to navigate.
- Visual identity
- Tone of voice
- Digital experience
- Campaign assets
- Print & digital templates
Move
Significantly increased engagement from the target business community. A service that looked like it belonged to the people it was trying to help.
- Partner communications
- Launch support
- Templates handover
In their words

“The workshops and discovery process helped us gain clarity on our purpose, audience and positioning. The final outcome is far more than a visual identity. It has given us a clear communications platform that helps us engage businesses more effectively and provides a strong foundation for future growth.”
